Excelente:
9 Out Of 10 Americans Are Completely Wrong About This Mind-Blowing Fact

This pretty much speaks for itself. At 1:05, I get a rude awakening. At 1:41, he starts talking about you. At 2:24, he says a bad word. At 3:50, he kind of breaks my brain. At 4:50, he lets you know how broke you really are. At 5:20, he rubs it in. And at 5:50, he points out that reality isn't close to what we think it is.

The Man Who Lives Without Money: http://www.trueactivist.com/the-man-who ... out-money/

Tem algumas partes interessantes:
Boyle believes that the degrees of separation between the consumer and the consumed have increased so much that it now means most people are completely unaware of the levels of destruction and suffering embodied in the ‘stuff’ they buy.

It can be agreed that few people actually want to cause suffering to others; most just don’t have any idea that they directly are. The tool that has enabled this separation is money, especially in its globalized format.
“If we grew our own food, we wouldn’t waste a third of it today” is one of Mark’s examples as to why it’s important a reconnection with natural/source living is established. “If we made our own tables and chairs, we wouldn’t throw them out the moment we changed the interior décor. If we had to clean our own water, we probably wouldn’t shit in it”.
O mundo vive completamente refém do dinheiro.

Artigo completo: http://www.publico.pt/mundo/noticia/chi ... co-1612205

Portuguese Train Company Was Run Over by a Snowball
http://www.bloombergview.com/articles/2 ... a-snowball

O primeiro parágrafo é logo lindo:
One service that I like to provide is pointing my readers to ridiculous derivatives trades, and oh boy does Risk magazine have a great one.1 The story is that "Portuguese state-backed rail operator Metro do Porto (MdP)" had some floating-rate debt outstanding that it had swapped to fixed at 4.76 percent. In 2005, government auditors "urged it to find a way of reducing" that rate. One option was I guess to swap it back to floating but that was obviously dumb, so MdP decided to do something obscurely and wonderfully dumb instead.
E esta parte também é genial:
Go read Risk for more about the story, about the lawsuit -- did I mention there's a lawsuit? Of course there's a lawsuit -- and about the MdP finance staff who decided this was a good idea. One of them is "now a lecturer in finance" and the other is "a professor of finance," so be careful out there, kids.
